Captured at one of Newlands three busy yards, or out-and-about with the team.
Old, new, sparkling clean and often dirty too - the range Newlands service and repair is wide and varied as this page illustrates.

You know something powerful is under the hood when your speedo looks like this!

Newlands Auto Electrical recently had a visit from this 2005 Aston Martin DB9 with a mighty 5.9 L, V12 motor – the epitome of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Customers often request Newlands auto electrician Neil Fowler to work on their classic/sports cars, as was the case with this superb vehicle.

Staff jest this is due to Neil’s own ‘classic vintage’. 😂

When you need batteries, Newlands will to go to the extremes!

Rob and Freddie from Way to Go Heliservices are pictured assisting Newlands with a chopper lift to install new batteries (and now more recently a generator) up at Canterbury Communications Mount Hutt transmitter.

The cloud wasn’t kind initially but cleared long enough to get everything up to Jason Redman and his Newlands team Aidan, Josh and Peter at the site to be hooked up.

Checking into Newlands Auto Electrical Ashburton branch was another tidy classic we snapped a picture or two of - for your 'drooling pleasure'.

It’s a 1968 Ford Mustang with 289 cubic inch fully reconditioned motor, interior and perfect new paint… just look under the hood! Allan McCormick from Vehicle Restorations in Dobson Street has done yet another top job restoring this American beauty!

Josh Buchanan is into the second year of his apprenticeship at Newlands and is pictured here running a few last electrical tests before this car goes on the market for sale.

Who is this still keeping an eye on things at Newlands yard? John Newlands will probably never completely retire… especially when it comes to his passion for anything automotive!

John is pictured alongside Jason Redman who was bringing a grunty outboard motor back to life.

Other photos from around the yard follow showing a range of different kinds of vehicles in and out of Newlands Ashburton branch.

Is it ‘the rose between two thorns’… or ‘beauty and the beasts’?
Either way, this regal 1948 RMB Riley was overshadowed by her robust yard companions at Newlands Auto Electrical in Ashburton.

Roy Pyrce recently purchased the vehicle saying the 2.5L is a rare find in New Zealand and he’s thrilled with the condition. The Riley’s horn was checked by Newlands and wired up ‘good as 72 years new’ and she tootled off home, to park up with Roy’s Wolseley.

Look at this classy wee number that showed up at Newlands yard recently.

Graeme Kingan and his 20 year labour-of-love, a 1970 Jaguar E Type, are all sorted now and set to roll…sorry Neil we know you like to work on this one but Lucas lucked out instead!

Yet another classic beauty was sorted by Neil at Newlands Auto Electrical.

Mark Holmes has owned this 1967 Ford Mustang for over 10 years. He has done many memorable roadies through out the years in this fully original ‘golden gem’ including trips to the Kaikoura Beach Hop and up through the North Island.

Thanks for letting us share these picts Mark!
